Ben Dziekan

Ben Dziekan is a patent and trade marks attorney based in Melbourne.

Ben has a diverse industry background and education in engineering and commercial marketing intersecting in IP.  In fact, his experience includes a BA in Aerospace Engineering, working directly with the Olympic Committee in 2012 and 2016 in the management of all related IP requirements, right through to introducing the use of collaborative robots across a number of leading Australian manufacturers.  Other technical experience includes mechanical engineering, sports technology, control systems and sustainable technologies. 

Having worked with leading manufacturing companies and engineers in Australia Ben has seen first-hand the effects lack of investment in innovation can have. Ben uses this experience when working with clients to assist them in realising the full commercial potential to their IP and know-how globally.   “It is vital for Australian businesses to invest in innovation and R&D.  Those that invest and understand the benefits of IP will be those that rise above the others.” 

Ben works within the Engineering team to draft and prosecute patent applications and is a registered patent and trade mark attorney in Australia.
